# What Questions Should I Ask Before Hiring a Web Design Agency?

Short answer

Ask for real results, how they handle SEO/AEO, what happens after launch and who does the work.

In detail

Ask to see real client results (not just screenshots), how they handle SEO/AEO from day one, what happens after launch, and who specifically will work on your project. Portfolios show taste, not performance. Push for outcomes — traffic, conversion rate, load speed — on past work. And clarify ownership: who owns the code, the CMS, the domain. A good agency answers this without hesitation.
