Search intent is the underlying purpose behind a search query, typically categorized as informational, navigational, commercial, or transactional. Matching content to the correct search intent is one of the strongest predictors of whether a page will rank and convert.

Example

“What is CRO” wants an explanation, “CRO agency” wants a provider and “CRO pricing” wants numbers. Each needs a different page.
