# Zero-Click Search

In plain words

A zero-click search is a search query that's fully answered directly on the search engine results page, through a featured snippet, knowledge panel, or AI Overview, so the searcher never clicks through to a website. Zero-click searches make earning a citation inside those AI-generated answers, rather than just ranking a link, increasingly important.

Example

Someone searches “Webflow vs WordPress” and reads the answer in an AI Overview without clicking. A clear, quotable comparison keeps your brand in that answer.

    ## How Long Does It Take to See Results From SEO?

Most businesses start seeing meaningful movement in 3 to 6 months, with significant results typically taking 6 to 12 months — SEO compounds over time rather than delivering instant results. Timeline depends on competition and your starting point. A brand-new site in a competitive niche takes longer than an established site making targeted improvements. Anyone promising first-page rankings in weeks is either targeting zero-competition keywords or not being straight with you.

    ## How Do I Future-Proof My Website for AI Search and AI Agents?

Build clean, well-structured content that directly answers real questions, keep your technical foundation fast and crawlable, and make sure your data is organized in a way machines — not just humans — can parse, including proper schema markup and clear page structure. AI agents browsing on a user's behalf and AI search tools both rely on the same underlying signals: clarity, structure, and accessibility. A site built well for AEO today is largely the same site that's ready for AI agents acting on visitors' behalf tomorrow.
